We don't simply turn on "Automatic Updates" in Windows and assume Microsoft will download the right updates to your PC. In fact, history has shown they typically don't; there have been famous cases of poorly-written updates and patches being sent to thousands of PCs and crashing them, or releasing updates that are incompatible with popular business-critical software, like Quickbooks, that causes them to stop functioning.

While we can't warrant Microsoft's updates, nor ensure they'll never cause problems, we can and do test each update released by Microsoft in a lab in our Data Center for up to weeks at a time to ensure they are compatible and safe for your computer. Then, we examine your machine to ensure that the updates we send to it are actually relevant to the software you have installed and will help you, and not hinder you.
